Kids And The Pandemic

Mental health is a very important, yet not discussed enough face of the COVID-19 crisis. I talk to Dr. Ewa Antczak, a child psychologist, who deals with the emotional/psychological impact of the pandemic on kids.

Dr. Antczak is an author and co-author of several research papers and the handout on social advertisement: Propaganda of good hearts. She presented at many conferences, professional development sessions, as well as workshops and trainings that included such subjects as social intelligence, anxiety, alexithymia, negative attitude changing, narrative mode, child development, cognitive and behavioural disabilities, as well as mental health.

Dr. Antczak is affiliated with the Ontario Psychological Association where she is a member of Section on Psychology in Education (SecPe). She is also a member of the Learning Disability Intensive Support Programming Committee, Learning Disability Programming Recommendations Committee, as well as Alternative Curriculum Committee, where she is responsible for development and implementation of specialized programs for students with cognitive and behavioural problems. She is affiliated with pre-doctoral psychology internship consortium and for many years she has been providing supervision for several practicum and internship students at Toronto Catholic District School Board.
