Mr. Labao is a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) candidate in Clinical Psychology at Adler University (Chicago) specializing in clinical neuropsychology. He is currently completing his residency/internship training at the Toronto Area Residency Consortium (TARC), where he provides testing/therapy services at OISE UofT’s Psychology Clinic and the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Prior to matriculating into the Psy.D. program, Mr. Labao received a master’s in clinical psychology (M.Psy) degree from Adler Graduate and Professional School (AGPS), and an Honors B.A. from York University, Toronto. Mr. Labao has extensive experience in psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments. His training experiences include academic medical centres, private practices, school boards, and college counselling centres. Mr. Labao brings a strengths-based approach to his work with clients, and values evidence-based practice. His background in brain-based behaviour, knowledge and application of various neuropsychological/cognitive theories and dedication to individual client-centered assessment ensures comprehensive testing of clients’ needs. His theoretical orientations include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Play Therapy with children. Mr. Labao has interests in pediatric neuropsychology and has presented a psychology conferences in both Canada and the USA.
