Dr. Antczak run the idealMe session with University students from Ontario to discuss ways to improve mental health and academic functioning during COVID-19. Students found Talk2Alexapp helpful in terms of taking theirs anxieties under control. Some strategies discussed included:
1. Scheduling and organizing tasks and assignments and breaking them down into smaller chunks.
2. Developing healthy habits.
3. Reaching out for help to friends and family members.
4. Self-advocating: approaching Accessibility Services for accommodations.
5. Challenging negative thoughts.
6. Counting blessings.
7. Slowing down in order to process thoughts and feelings.
