Educator’s Institute Presentation
Dr. Ewa Antczak is presenting at the Educator’s Institute on “Ways to motivate and engage students with a Learning Disability.” The session will be on August, 20th at 10:20 – 11:35 am in Graydon D .
Students with learning disabilities often become frustrated and unmotivated because they see themselves as being inefficient in many areas of school functioning. Participants in this workshop will be provided with effective strategies that may help students with Learning Disabilities increasing their motivation and engagement across academic performances, as well as their resiliency and self-efficacy. Educators will participate in discussions and activities that will help them guide their students in the process of increasing effectiveness of acquiring new knowledge and developing perceptual data-mining. They will explore ways to increase students’ confidence, self-advocacy skills and enthusiasm that will help them reach their full potential.
Registration is closed as of 11:59pm on August 9th, 2019. However, we will be accepting on-site registrations as of 7:30am on August 20th at the LD@school registration desk. Email Felicity@LDAO.ca for more information.
